The Golden Triangle Partnership scheme has been devised as an integrated technology mission for the developement of Ayurvedic drugs using the latest scientific tool and technology.Under this scheme ,Department of AYUSH/CCRAS,CSIR/ICMR would work together to undertake scientific validation and developement of safe,effective and standardised classical Ayurvedic products for the identified disease conditions and to develope new Ayurvedic and herbal products effective in disease condition of national or global impotance.

Sweet INDIA !
The international Diabetes Federation "s Diabetes Atlas released in December 2005 in south africa confirmed that INDIA has the largest no.of people living with Diabetes.It is in the pre - Diabetetic phase ,Impaired Glucose Tolerance ,that china overtakes India both in prevalance and projections.
The atlas reveals that India has 40.9 million with Diabetes ,& china has 39.8 million.By 2025 India will have 69.9 & china will have 59.3.

In an attempt to frame standards for Ayurveda centres following request from the Govt.of kerala ,The National Accreditation Board of Hospitals (NABH)has plans to drew up standards for Ayurvedic hospitals in the country.
A Technical committee will soon be constituted for this .Work on drawing up standards will start with in a month and will be completed by year end.
